The Birmingham Triennial Festival was established in 1768. Since then many European composers have written works for or performed at the Festival including Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens, Grieg, Gounod, Dvorak, Sibelius and others. Christopher Morley, music critic for the Birmingham Post, explores the fascinating connection between these composers and the Festival.
In partnership with Ross-on-Wye Arts Appreciation Society Prof. Allen Fisher will talk about the French Impressionists and Tim Porter will present a musical expression of Impressionism. Drinks and canapés will be served during the interval. Note: This event will take place at the Larruperz Centre in Ross-on-Wye at 6.30pm
