Wye Valley Chamber Music Summer Residency Tutors Concert

The Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival has started teaching the next generation of chamber musicians. The opening event of our week-long Summer Residency, this is an opportunity for our residency tutors to show how it’s done. Our tutors spend their lives playing chamber music, often in their established string quartets and trios. Here they join together in new combinations to play a programme bookended by youthful and late trios by Schubert. In between come Beethoven’s stormy A minor violin sonata and Schumann’s set of Fairy Tales, one of his last completed works.
