Mozart’s ‘Gran Partita’ in Leominster

A wind ensemble of senior students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama will play Mozart’s Serenade for 13 wind instruments, otherwise known as the ‘Gran Partita’.  Although there are numerous recordings of the work, this is a comparatively rare opportunity to hear a live performance and to see the marvellous array of wind instruments: 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 basset horns, 4 French horns and a contrabassoon.  The programme will also contain works by J C Bach, including the first of his wind symphonies.  Tickets from the TIC, 11 Corn Square, Leominster HR6 6SB.  Tel: 01568 616460
